Mind-Force project assists individuals from within the Wounded Injured or Sick (WIS) service personnel or veterans community deemed most likely to benefit from holistic therapies based on mindfulness, either as an addition or alternative to clinical therapies which may now have limited effect on their own.
The Mind Force Retreat is borne from an idea by founder, a former British Paratrooper with 10 years’ regular service and an ongoing commitment in the Army Reserves; Colin served on many high tempo operational tours across the globe, including Iraq and Afghanistan. On leaving the regular service, Colin found himself needing an outlet to vent frustration, deal with the many rigours of civilian life and to find new ways of coping with a mental wellbeing that had become diminished on losing the camaraderie and support of his military colleagues that had seen him through his service. He holds a strong belief that services should be non-judgemental and prefers the non-clinical option.
Colin found his solace through mindfulness and the use of alternative, holistic therapies, recognising the power of these therapies he formed a vision to offer a similar experiences to other Armed forces personnel, veterans and those in transisition, to assist in their recovery, rehabilitation, or to aid their ability to re-integrate into society. The Mind Force Retreat Project CIC delivers non-clinical therapy in natural environments, designed by Veterans for Veterans, Armed Forces and Blue light emergency services community. Bringing like-minded people together to deliver mindfulness tools, soul training, rest-bite, relief from stress, anxiety, burn out and depression.

Yoga guides the use of physical postures, rhythmic breathing and meditative exercises to evoke a relaxation response, rather than a stress response. With regular practise, any given situation can become less threatening as yoga releases neurochemicals in the body which produce a healing, calming and restorative effect on the mind.
We work alongside non clinical therapists whom bring together their unique style and specialist areas. Our guests have the opportunity of joining in our group therapy sessions or one to one.
Daily holistic therapy treatments at the Mind Force Retreat including reiki, meditation, sprititual healing and soul coaching.
It is recognised that many veterans, wounded injured or sick require continued opportunities, despite the Covid 19 pandemic. The Mind Force vision provides the necessary access to non-judgmental, non-clinical therapies in a natural and relaxed environment.
Poor Mental Health can be stigmatic, in particular in the perceived ‘labelling’ of those conditions. Veterans may also struggle changing their own mindset from Military to Civilian, causing further problems, withdrawal from society and isolation.
Mind Force project aims to:
Mind Force Retreat is designed by Veterans for the Armed Forces community, bringing like-minded people together in a mission to end the stigma connected to mental health in currently serving Armed Forces personnel and Veterans.
Clients who attend the Mind Force retreat will receive three nights all-inclusive relaxation and stress relief treatments including a wide range of holistic therapy introductions in non-clinical environments. All retreats include group yoga sessions each morning and the very special horse assisted equine therapy. Each evening the group are encouraged to take part in guided meditation sessions to end the day in relaxed state of mind.
The retreat program is scheduled throughout, but not strict, clients can take part or site back and relax when they like, all sessions are designed to provide vital mindfulness tools. The Mind Force Retreat is exclusively for the Armed Forces community, bringing like-minded people together, delivering assistance with transition from military to civilian life and to teach how to deal with stress, anxiety, burn out and depression.
