Mind Force Retreat Project, By The Block Liverpool
Mindfulness based stress reduction for Armed Forces & Veterans.
Mindfulness based stress reduction for Armed Forces & Veterans.
It is recognised that many veterans, wounded injured or sick require continued opportunities to help treat poor mental health. The Mind Force project provides the necessary access to non-judgmental, non-clinical therapies in a natural and relaxed environment.
Poor Mental Health can be stigmatic, in particular in the perceived ‘labelling’ of those conditions. Veterans may also struggle changing their own mindset from Military to civilian, causing further problems, withdrawal from society and isolation.
The Mind Force Retreat aims to:
Designed by veterans, bringing like-minded people together on a mission to end the stigma connected to mental health in currently serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans and Blue light emergency services.
The retreat program is scheduled throughout, but not strict, clients can take part or site back and relax when they like, all sessions are designed to provide vital mindfulness tools.
The Mind Force Retreat is exclusively for the Armed Forces and Blue light community, bringing like-minded people together, delivering assistance with transition, delivering lessons on how to deal with stress, anxiety, burn out and depression.
If you are a veteran or currently serving member of the Armed Forces and interested to hear more information you can use the "Contact us" button at the bottom of the screen.

Qualified EAP help our guests to learn about themselves and others while processing or discussing feeling, behaviours and patterns. Veteran support is a vitial part of our project, we select vetetans for volunteer and paid work on future projects and our team connect with veteran organisations across the U.K. we deliver advice and refarrals in order to help veterans understand their local communities and supporting networks.
Yoga guides the use of physical postures, rhythmic breathing and meditative exercises to evoke a relaxation response, rather than a stress response. With regular practise, any given situation can become less threatening as yoga releases neurochemicals in the body which produce a healing, calming and restorative effect on the mind.
We work alongside therapists whom bring together their unique non clinical style and specialist areas such as creativity and art as therapy. Our guests have the opportunity of joining in our group therapy sessions or one to one.
Daily holistic therapy treatments at the Mind Force retreat include guided meditation and sound healing( a Sound bath) .
